Here’s Mom’s post-event reflection, shared via e-mail tonight. I’m reading it at the Las Vegas International Airport while waiting for a connecting flight to Orlando.
Dear, Sweet Family,
It is 10:30p.m. and I have just the warmest, most thankful feelings in my heart for ALL of you!
Today was SUCH A BLESSING!!!! You just have no idea, how VERY MUCH you have “touched” my life….each one of you…I thank our dear Lord for you!
The sweetness of gatherings of family and their joy in seeing one another…embracing….the grandchildren, actually hugging tight another cousin….it was such a heartwarming thing for me….I burst with thanksgiving, honestly I do!!!
I have loved picking up…washing some dishes…putting some cookies in the freezer…rehearsing conversations..I am indeed blest!
This Christmas has blest me beyond my expectations…it has! You all have done exceedingly,
abundantly MORE than could be expected!!! Everyone pitched in with SUCH A HEART….I am more thankful than you can possibly know, for a sweet day together.THANK YOU, ONE AND ALL, FOR YOUR PART IN THIS DELICIOUS DAY! KNOW that I am grateful and go to bed tonight, quite contented!
