Visit to Griffith Park

On Saturday afternoon, Kenny and I spent five unforgettable hours at the Observatory.  Kenny took it all in.  He made me a drawing of a rocketship for my birthday – complete with American flag, engines burning at full throttle, on to the planets – Jupiter, Saturn and Mars, along with a collection of asteroids, all in full color crayon.

At the observatory, we took in the spectacular Planetarium show.  We watched the Pendulum swing back and forth, inching in a full circle to match the rotation of the Earth.  We saw telescopes and models of the planets and the Moon.  There were moving replicas of the Solar System and vistas of the city and snow-capped mountains on a crystal clear day.

Welcome to the family page

Here's where I post the stuff that I want to share with family. That's a significant number of people, come to think of it. But your name may not be Kemp. It may be Duncan or Ostrander or Lodahl, Hunerdosse or Michels or Kitahara or Paulsen or Schwetz or Dibbs or one of many who've joined our family circle. Or it may well be that we've adopted you. Whatever your name, you're welcome here. Click on the links. You'll soon conclude - we are blessed. Glad you stopped by. Feel free to leave a comment.
