Festim’s Graduation
This Saturday, we met with Festim’s friends on the Campus of Biola University with several thousand there to celebrate the Centennial Graduation ceremonies. After four amazing years of God’s provision and Festim’s hard work, Festim walked across the stage where President Barry Corey handed him his degree – a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
Festim’s journey is nothing short of astonishing. From a ravaged, war-torn nation of Kosova (which just weeks ago declared its independence as a soveriegn nation), Festim’s dreams have become a reality. The turning point was his commitment to follow Jesus – a commitment inspired by several selfless missionaries who made their way to Kosova. As we all know, there is more to come. Festim’s dreams are alive and well. And they are big.
We’ve put the day’s events into a video short. There are links you’ll want to follow. This week, I wrote a LeaderFOCUS on impressions from the day. I’ve also provided you with links to the still photos.
Enjoy! Pass around the link. Congratulations, Festim!
Roger and Lori in Israel
Are on their way to Israel with Chuck and Cynthia… and some six hundred others! They are co-hosts… along with Paul and Sue Sailhamer.
One of the guys in my college group (from way back in the old days at Fullerton) is producing a DAILY VIDEO short to keep us in the loop. I’ve subsribed, as you can, to a daily e-mail with a link to the video when it’s posted. You can check it out, too.
Let’s follow their progress… I do believe they are planning to visit Vonnie and Greg.
Happy Mother’s Day
I’m blessed to be in regular company with some of the great Moms… Carolyn, who raised three terrific kids who are now parents.. two of them proving themselves as great Moms – Kristyn and Candy. Kevin married a terrific lady who has also joined the ranks… Sonya. Then, there’s the Matriarch of the clan – Grandma, that’s Great-grandma Lorry. I stumbled across a terrific three minute recounting of the life of a busy Mom, filled with the wit and wisdom Moms learn to relay in between crises, spills, departures, clean-ups and evenings at home. It’s a collection of “Momisms.” You’ll enjoy it as much as I… watch the photos of our gang flash by as you listen… to Anita Renfroe… in a little thing she puts to the William Tell Overture.
